ORIENTATION

Your orientation process is based on the campus you'll attend.  Find your campus and student type below.

Corvallis Campus

New students (first-year and transfer) coming to the Corvallis campus will participate in OSU’s START Orientation program.  START orientation takes place prior to fall, winter, and spring terms – you should attend prior to your first term. As part of that process, you’ll meet with a College of Forestry Academic Advisor to learn about your program and register for classes. More information about START is available from the Office of Student Orientation.

Ecampus (online programs)

New students (first-year and transfer) enrolling in OSU’s Ecampus should complete the Ecampus Getting Started Checklist. As part of that process, you’ll be connected with a College of Forestry Academic Advisor for advising and registration.

Cascades Campus (located in Bend)

New students (first-year and transfer) coming to the Cascades campus in Bend should participate in the OSU-Cascades START Orientation program.  START orientation takes place prior to fall, winter, and spring terms – you should attend prior to your first term. As part of that process, you’ll meet with an Academic Advisor to learn about your program and register for classes. More information about OSU-Cascades START.

Post-Bacc Students

Post-Baccalaureate or “Post-Bacc” students already have a Bachelor’s degree, and plan to pursue another Bachelor’s degree at OSU.  The orientation process for new Post-Bacc students depends on whether you have previously attended OSU. Post-Bacc students who are new to OSU should participate in the same orientation that transfer students complete for your desired campus: Corvallis, Ecampus, Cascades.

Post-Bacc students who have previously attended OSU should contact the Academic Advisor for your major to set up an appointment for your advising and registration.

Major Change

Current OSU Students who want to change into a COF major can schedule an appointment with the Academic Advisor for your desired major. Undecided students can schedule with Nicole Kent.
