The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) is the top ranked forestry school in the world. Participate in an exchange at one of SLU's three main campuses: Uppsala, Alnarp, and Umeå. Beyond their campuses, they have 25 separate teaching and research locations across the country.

Spend a semester in Europe and a gateway to Nordic wilderness! SLU offers a unique Euroforester degree on forest management, ecology, planning and policy that goes beyond national borders. You'll be able to take classes within this course and interact with professors and students from all around the world.

In-state tuition rates apply during exchanges.

A quote from Alcyne: student at SLU and 3-month intern at OSU Corvallis from our Branching Borders program

student face"Hey! My name is Alcyne Nyiraneza, a master’s student at SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences), Alnarp campus, where I am pursuing my second year in the euroforester program. Studying at a top ranking university like SLU has fostered my knowledge and real-word experiences about forest sciences through daily lectures, and field trips we have in and outside the country. We have toured five countries so far and I got to know about cultures, landscapes and silvicultural practices in different countries across Europe. As an international student from a country where English is not my first language, it helped to improve my language skills and also to interact and connect with people from different cultures which broadened my learning experiences."
