Student Association for Fire Ecology: The Student Association for Fire Ecology (SAFE), also known as the Pyromaniacs at OSU is a student chapter of the Association for Fire Ecology. The group's activities include academic discussions of scholarly articles in fire ecology, talks and paper discussions with guest experts, prescribed burning opportunities, field trips, and fire ecology conference attendance. The Pyromaniacs email list disseminates information and opportunities related to fire ecology. Contact John Bailey for more information.

OSU Hydrophiles - Our purpose is to bring people from all areas of water resources together for social and professional exchange. Our activities include field trips, presentations by students, faculty, and off-campus professionals, and social events. Hydrophiles finds common ground for water resources students and faculty in all of the science, engineering, and management departments on campus.

OSU American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing: ASPRS is the professional association for geospatial fields. We are an interdepartmental, low-commitment club that meets several times a year and provides activities in between. We are also an approachable resource for students interested in GIS and remote sensing. Activities include offering geomatics, lidar and UAS education at local schools and public events, student and professional presentations, film viewings, industry conferences and field trips, and regional meetings. We’re always accepting new members and officers. Contact photogrammetry@oregonstate.edu for more information. ASPRS National Website
