I have two blankets that I've had since I was a very young child. The pink blanket was one I had from birth. The white blanket was given to me when I was two. I contracted influenza B, which turned into epiglottitis. Essentially, my throat collapsed and I ended up living in an isolation chamber for a little over a week. While I was in the hospital, my doctor gave me the white blanket to comfort me. I sleep with both blankets every night. My children both now have waffle knit blankets that they sleep with each night.
