My name is Ivana Zivojinovic. I am a senior researcher at the Institute of Forest, Environmental and Natural Resource Policy and the Centre for Bioeconomy at BOKU University in Vienna, Austria. My research interests focus on forest policy and governance, forest-related sector innovations and transition to bioeconomy.
I have been awarded a Fulbright Visiting Scholar grant for a three-month research stay at Oregon State University. At OSU, I will study how innovation in the forestry sector can foster sustainable forest management, support climate change mitigation, and drive bioeconomic development. My research will compare approaches from the U.S. and Europe, with a strong focus on collaboration between science, policy, and practice. This stay will not only advance my academic career but also strengthen the partnership between BOKU and OSU, contributing to future international projects and long-term cooperation.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, watching movies and spending time with my family and friends.
