Duber Elera is a forest engineer graduated from the National University of Cajamarca – Jaén Campus (Peru) and holds a Master of Science degree in forest sciences from the Federal University of Viçosa (Brazil). He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in forest sciences at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (Brazil). His professional and research experience focuses on forest management and the use of geographic information systems applied to natural resource management. He serves as an Associate Professor and Researcher at the School of Forest and Environmental Engineering at the National Autonomous University of Chota (Peru). He leads the research group on forest biometrics and geomatics and coordinates the research project Monitoring the Growth and Productivity of Pinus patula in the Northern Peruvian Andes.
