Annual Food Drive results

Published on

We're proud to share that this March, COF placed second overall in the 2026 OSU Food Drive, surpassing last year’s contributions to raise $20,990 — the equivalent of more than 62,000 meals.

Year after year, COF shows up for the Food Drive in a big way. Even with the challenge of carrying momentum through finals week and spring break, more than half our total came from events and donations in March alone. That means we really showed up this year — and we hope that you’ll take a moment to celebrate the care and generosity across this community.

We’d also like to recognize someone within our community who has driven and inspired our Food Drive efforts for more than 26 years: Terralyn Vandetta. From co-chairing the COF committee since 2005, to sewing nearly 30 quilts by hand, to building beloved traditions like the silent auction and weekly soup lunches, her commitment has helped make COF a consistent leader in the Food Drive, earning “Top Banana” a total of 23 times.

In recognition of her outstanding work, Terralyn was selected as a 2026 Governor’s State Employees Food Drive Hero and received OSU’s inaugural Heart of the Food Drive award, honoring her decades of leadership, volunteerism and fundraising impact.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered or showed up in support of our efforts this year!
