Estimated Costs

Costs billed to your student account:

  • $3,600 - Program Fee (covers tuition, lodging, transportation in New Zealand, group meals during the program, entrance fees)
  • $275 - OSU GO Faculty-Led Program Admin Fee
  • $50 - Mandatory Accident & Sickness Insurance
  • $150 - College of Forestry Fee

Estimated Personal Expenses:

  • $1,400 - International Airfare
  • $300 - Meals on own
  • $750 - Miscellaneous: recreation, personal expenses (phone/internet charges, toiletries, etc.)

Total of above student account costs AND personal expenses
$6,525 - Total estimated program cost

Scholarships

College of Forestry Students:

All OSU Students:

Oregon State University students can check out other university-wide funding opportunities on our Funding your International Experience page. Credit-bearing international programs are also eligible for coverage under FAFSA financial aid. 

Important passport information

If you do not have a valid passport, we suggest that you go ahead and apply for your passport now. Both first time applicants and passport renewals can be subject to extensive delays, so we strongly suggest applying today. While it might seem premature to apply before you are accepted to your program, remember that USA adult passports are valid for 10 years so if you see yourself traveling in the future, it is worth it to apply now!

If this is your first passport, you will have to apply in person, so keep that in mind. If you already have a passport but it has expired, you will receive a new passport number when you renew your passport. It’s best to start this process early as well because you will need the new passport number to book flights and more. Passport acquisition is an additional cost not shown in the above estimates!
