Some kind of intro blurb (this is COB’s): “As a community of more than 40,000 OSU business alumni, we work together to accomplish great things. Whether it’s inspiring, mentoring, or hiring our students or supporting our college initiatives, we’ve always looked to the leadership and experience you offer.”
Welcome, Alumni!
We are a diverse community with a shared purpose — to find solutions to the most pressing challenges facing our forest landscapes and change our world for the better.
Structure
The College of Forestry offer six undergraduate degrees and three graduate degrees through three academic departments. We also offer multiple microcredentials and certificates on campus or online through Ecampus. Our Forestry and Natural Resources Extension program is a cornerstone of our mission as a land grant institution, acting as a bridge between the university and communities across the state.
History
The first forestry class was taught at OSU in 1896 — just a few decades after Oregon achieved statehood. Ten years later, the first four-year degree was established. Over a century later, we are the No. 1 forestry program in the nation. Today, total enrollment tops 1,400 students representing 48 states and 33 countries and our research program secures more than $20 million in grants and generates 150 refereed publications annually.
