Constructed in 1999, Richardson Hall brings together over 200 faculty, students and researchers across our three academic departments to advance research in forest ecology, climate change, sustainable forestry and wood product development through 57 laboratories, seven classrooms and other facilities, including:
Rooftop greenhouse
USDA-certified laboratory for non-indigenous arthropod research
Remote Sensing Applications Lab
Gene D. Knudson Wood Engineering Laboratory, a 3,000 sf. high-bay facility with 12 ft. high L-shaped reaction wall and 60x40 foot reaction floor to accommodate dynamic testing of large wood components and structural systems. It is equipped with servo-hydraulic test systems as well as specialized features.

Indigenous Natural Resources Office:
Provides a gathering place where faculty, staff, students and community members foster relationships and allyships. The office partners with the nine Tribal Nations of Oregon, Tribal Nations across the Pacific Northwest and Indigenous communities worldwide.Forestry and Natural Resources Extension Program:
