The Graduate Student Council coordinates the SUGAR program, a summer opportunity that pairs College of Forestry undergraduate students with College of Forestry graduate students for mentorship and paid research experience. Undergraduates assist with thesis, dissertation, capstone or other research projects involving tasks such as data collection, data analysis, data entry, laboratory work or literature review. The College of Forestry provides limited funding to pay undergraduate hourly wages.
Through SUGAR, students gain valuable research and fieldwork experience and explore graduate school and career paths.
