Detail your mentorship plan:
The selected student will closely interact with Dr. Segura as well as with other group members (postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate). This will provide access to a broad range of projects, ranging from stream restoration, sediment transport, catchment hydrology, and stream temperature,. The student will participate in at least one research group meeting per month and will meet with Segura at least once a week. Some of these meetings will take place in office while others will be arranged in the field or laboratory. During these meetings I will discuss relevant aspects of the work at hand but also I will provide perspective about the relevance of the work and its implications to water resources management and sustainability. These meetings will also provide opportunities to provide guidance in professional development.
