RFP - Student Learning and Teaching Effectiveness

OBJECTIVE

Faculty and staff from all three departments within the College are invited to work together to develop a College-wide process for assessing and improving student learning and teaching effectiveness. Possibilities to explore include:

  • Teaching quality assurance process
  • Teaching effectiveness assessment policy and process
  • Student learning assessment process
  • Curriculum review strategies, process, and guidelines
  • Curricular and learning needs exploration

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Participants must commit to collaborating in a learning community format to explore possibilities, develop options, and propose an implementation strategy.

DELIVERABLES

  • Evaluation of existing, relevant processes within the college, department, or program
  • Review of processes at other institutions
  • Vet recommendations with the broader college community
  • Develop an implementation strategy

ANTICIPATED INVESTMENT

Upon completion of the project, participants will receive $2,500 each for use at their discretion conditional on approved uses of College funds.  Additional support may be provided as needed to develop and implement approved programs.

BUDGET & TIMELINE

Generally, deliverables are due and budget must be expended within 12 months of the start of the project; elements of this agreement will include periodic progress reports.  A timeline will be agreed upon in conversation with the Program Administrator.
