J. Richard Dilworth Graduate Award in Forestry

The J. Richard Dilworth Memorial Fund was established in 1983 to honor long-time College of Forestry faculty member "Dick" Dilworth in order to "improve the quality of the programs in the College of Forestry."

Awards from the memorial fund are available to graduate students in the Department of Forest Engineering, Resources, and Management (FERM) and in the Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society (FES), and are given in priority of scholarship, student travel, and teaching grants.

Lee Harris Travel Grant

The Lee Harris Travel Grant Committee offers grants exclusively to FERM graduate students. If you are attending a conference or plan to in the near future, this is a chance to receive additional funding! All graduate students in the FERM department are eligible. Experiential Learning Funds

Open to undergraduates and graduates. This program will award up to $500 in funding for domestic programs or activities that support applicant's education, professional development and/or leadership experience. This may include conferences, workshops and seminars, or similar activities. For more information, visit the website.

OSU Funding

Graduate Student Travel Award

This award is granted to graduate students to help cover the costs of attending and presenting at national and international conferences. Students must be nominated by the directors of their graduate programs and be the lead or only author/presenter for their project. Departments may submit only one application per department, so there may be earlier deadlines for departmental review prior to submission.

Graduate Student Conference Reimbursement (via HSRC)

The Human Services Resource Center offers up to $250 towards conference registration costs for educational and professional conferences related to your field of study. To qualify, you must demonstrate financial need and have used an HSRC program at least once in the past year. Interested students must meet with meet with Miguel Arella Sanchez at least three weeks prior to conference to apply and be approved: miguel.arellanosanchez@oregonstate.edu or students can schedule themselves to Miguel's calendar here: https://calendly.com/miguel-arellano

Professional Development Award

The College of Forestry Professional Development Award will provide up to $250 towards qualifying trainings, resources, and activities that contribute to professional skills development. Applications must be submitted online up to one term in advance or within 30 days following the activity.

Rotary Global Grant Scholarships

Awarded for: One to four academic years of international graduate-level coursework.  

Majors: Peace studies, conflict resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, economic and community development

DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) RISE professional Research Internships in Science & Engineering

Awarded for: Research internships in German companies or at non-university research institutions with a strong industry impact for a minimum of 10 weeks.

Awarded for: Excellently-qualified graduates who have completed a first degree (Bachelor, Diploma or comparable academic degree) to participate in a postgraduate program for the purpose of technical or scientific specialisation
