Please conduct a literature review of articles on spatial analysis applications in forestry/natural resources. Please have the articles you are reviewing related to your topic of interest for your class project. Examples include spatial analysis articles relating to forest harvesting/planning, forest inventory, wildlife habitat, ecological modeling/classification, forest fires, or landscape ecology. Please make a bibliography of 4 or 5 peer reviewed journal articles since 1990. Please hand in an annotation (a short paragraph critically describing the article) for three of your selected articles. Be sure to describe any hypotheses that the author stated in your annotation. If the author did not expressly state a hypothesis, please state the implied hypothesis or the objectives of your articles. Hand in your bibliography and the annotations of your selected articles. You will also present results during class and will have ten minutes total for your presentation.

Your bibliography and annotations should be submitted on the day that you present to the class.

Peer reviewed journals that may have articles of interest include the International Journal of GIS, Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing, Fire Technology, Landscape Ecology, Journal of Forestry, Forest Science, Conservation Biology, Biological Conservation, the ITC Journal, and others.
