GROUP TRIP TO TODD LAKE

We traveled to Todd Lake to get a tour and find out more about the type of management that was implemented and what the field rangers’ roles were in this management plan.  While waiting for the field rangers to meet us at the parking lot people bundled up against the cold.  Mark Reed went a little wild with the digital camera and the following pictures are the result of this wildness.

With Todd Lake in the background, the group listens to the history and management of the area.  Todd Lake went from camping to day use, from no leash law to an enforced leash law.  Also, a wooden rail was put up in the most popular areas to keep people off of the sensitive riparian area next to the banks of the lake.
