The College of Forestry coordinates a small grants program to promote activities that contribute to enhancing international dimensions of forest research, teaching, and outreach in the College and/or that provide professional development of College students, faculty, and staff with a focus in international activities. Proposals will be evaluated for synergy with the College vision, anticipated benefits to the College and the College’s faculty, students, and staff, the potential contribution to the long term development of COF international programs, and the likelihood that the funds will stimulate long-term involvement of faculty, students, and staff in international activities. Proposals for any activities consistent with these goals are welcome, including international travel, hosting international visitors, development of international proposals and collaborations, or other activities. Proposals accepted from all faculty, students, and staff associated with the College for grants ranging from $500 to $3,000.
Proposals will be solicited twice annually (in fall and spring); solicitations will be announced over Email and through the COF International Newsletter.
Proposals should be no more than 1 page in length (single-spaced), and should be submitted to Susan Morré( Susan.Morre@oregonstate.edu ) by November 18, 2005. Proposals should indicate the intended use of the funds, the degree to which the funds are consistent with the criteria for evaluation noted above, the time period for which funds are requested, the availability of matching or alternative funding, and the amount of funds requested.
