I’m Arvin Bueno Vista from the Philippines. They said, your name tells something about you. Vista means view, Bueno means good and Arvin was taken from Alvin which means doing well. So I’m doing good view!
Before coming here at OSU, I taught undergraduate students for three semesters at the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). I handled courses on Land Economics and Research Methods in Agricultural Economics. Working with undergraduates makes me feel younger. Well, I’m still young and sometimes could be mistaken as an undergraduate student – may be because of my height and face.
I finished MS in Agricultural Economics, with specialization in Resource Economics from Michigan State University (2003) and BS in Forestry major in Forest and Environmental Resources management from UPLB.
During free time, I like to do biking, swimming and reading Christian books. In the Philippines, I spend my off-peak hours gardening, playing with Doevie (my dog), and strengthening my relationships with my significant other and close friends.
