Course Description

Principles and applications of fire as a natural resource management tool, the role of fire in conservation management, restoration, and preservation of ecosystems. Focus will center on ecological relationships of fire and natural communities, wildlife habitats, fire influences on air quality and climate change. The course will cover techniques used to describe fire behavior, fuels, and fire effects on the biota.
